Encouragement to Carry On

The month of August was a busy one for the Evins family.  School started and Caleb has been able to be in class for about half of the four weeks that have passed.  His wonderful caring teachers have kept him on top of things and he's feeling confident that he'll be able to make it through the semester ok.  Some of the days he missed were because of a special trip that the Make a Wish Foundation granted to him on August 21st - 25th.  Our whole family got a VIP tour of the White House, the Capital, and some of the other great places.  It was a great trip and we were blessed at the generosity of the people who give to Make a Wish.  They really took care of us.  We had a great vacation in the middle of this huge trial that we are walking through.  I'll have to say it really was  great time of relief to all of us.

We continue to appreciate all who are praying for Caleb's cure.  He has finished all the rounds of Chemo.  Unfortunately there is still a small trace of Leukemia in his blood stream.  So, it is now time for the Bone Marrow Transplant.  We still are not scheduled yet, but hope to be in the next three weeks.  Caleb has a sibling match in his sister Jeanette so the chances of a cure are good.  We are so grateful for all of the concern, love and prayers that have been sent our way!
